variety of transportation corridors make Gallatin
and ParkCounties easily accessible for both
people and products. Of particular importance are GallatinFieldAirport, Interstate 90 (a
primary east/west route connecting the northern tier states) and Montana Rail
Link.
Air Services
Southwest
Montana's Gallatin Field Airport (BZN) is located in the heart of the GallatinValley just ten minutes west of Bozeman. It is the 7th busiest passenger airport in the
Pacific Northwest and the 2nd busiest in Montana
with nearly 700,000 passengers using the facility every year. The five
airlines: Delta/Delta Connection, Frontier, Horizon Air, Northwest and
United/United Express provide daily non-stop service to Butte,
Chicago, Denver, Idaho Falls, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Salt Lake City and Seattle/Tacoma. Winter and
summer schedules also include non-stop jet service to Atlanta,
Detroit, Los Angeles
and San Francisco.
Excellent
facilities for corporate jets and private planes are also available. There are
two Fixed Base
Operators
located at Gallatin Field.
Arlin's Aircraft Service provides a
broad range of services for corporate jet and transient aircrafts including complete
customer service, fuel, maintenance, concierge services, and many other
amenities.
The Yellowstone Jet Center offers
professional line and concierge services as well as maintenance by factory
trained technicians. The JetCenter also has over
65,000 square feet of heated hangar space available for aircraft storage needs.
The West Yellowstone Airport is located at
the West entrance of YellowstonePark. This airport is
open May-October and is served by 3 daily SkyWest/Delta flights. HS Base
Operator is Yellowstone Aviation.

Charter Services
There
are currently three companies providing charter services out of GallatinFieldAirport.
Gallatin
Field is an active air cargo and express airport with over 8 million pounds of
cargo and mail passing through each year. Services are provided through the
following:
Montana Rail Link, Inc. is an FRA
Class II regional railroad with more than 900 miles of track serving 100
stations in the states of Montana, Idaho, and Washington.
The company operates a fleet of more than 2,100 freight cars and 176
locomotives. The rail connects with the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway
(BNSF) at Laurel, Helena, and Garrison in Montana,
at Spokane, Washington,
and with the Union Pacific Railroad at Sandpoint,
Idaho. MRL is one of the
independently operated Washington Companies and is headquartered in Missoula, Montana.
It is privately held.
There
are currently six motor freight hauling companies offering services in the
area. Each offers pickup, delivery, and warehousing and several also have
computerized freight tracing. Van lines, trucking transportation brokers, and
other forms of truck rentals and transportation are also available.
